LANGLEY — A dump truck driver blazing through the Fraser Valley is facing a steep fine after driving recklessly through a 60 km/h zone last week.

Mounties in Langley say their traffic enforcement team was monitoring speeds near Labonté Ave and 79 Ave last Friday, February 14, when one of its officers stopped a dump truck towing a trailer at an excessive speed of 103 km/h.

Police say the driver was issued a substantial fine for excessive speeding, $368, the amount for that tier of excessive speed.

Police are asking all drivers, including commercial motorists, to please remember to drive responsibly and adhere to posted speed limits for everyone’s safety.
