CULTUS LAKE — An overnight fire broke out on Columbia Valley Road, destroying an artisan market in Cultus Lake.

Cultus Lake Fire Department crews were dispatched at about 12:30 a.m. early Tuesday (Feb. 18) for the report of a structure fire in the 4100 block of Columbia Valley Road. Cultus Lake personnel requested mutual aid from Chilliwack Fire Department, whose firefighters from Engine 4 responded.

According to a social media post early Tuesday morning, the Feral Bee Artisan Store & Farm Market at 4121 Columbia Valley Road says its business has been destroyed.

“Sadly the Feral Bee is gone,” the business wrote on Facebook.

The building was located next to Kent’s Ice Cream just east of Cultus Lake Plaza.

The business described itself as “creating a beautiful space for artisans, farmers and the community to come together and support each other.”

“Last night our community lost The Feral Bee Artisan Market to a devastating fire. Our heartfelt sympathies to all the Artisans that have been affected and to the owner Michelle,” Cultus Lake Community Association wrote on Facebook.
