UPDATE 9:15 P.M., WEDNESDAY: Power has been restored to Rosedale, Popkum, Cheam First Nation and the District of Kent.

CHILLIWACK — For the second time in a week, people in the Rosedale and Popkum area of Chilliwack have lost power.

According to the BC Hydro website, over 1,600 customers in eastern Rosedale, Popkum, Bridal Falls, and parts of the District of Kent lost power at 3:47 p.m. Wednesday afternoon (Nov. 6).

The cause is under investigation. The impacted area is east of Camp River Road.

Crews are on their way and should arrive by 5:40 p.m. The BC Hydro website was last updated at 4:40 p.m. Wednesday.
