Rash of break-ins in Surrey likely connected with trio targeting large-scale homes: RCMP
SURREY – RCMP say a recent series of break-ins in and around the Surrey area may be the work of several suspects linked to similar incidents in the Lower Mainland.
Single-family residences were targeted in Panorama Ridge, South Surrey, and Crescent Beach, with high-value items like rings, watches, cash, and purses stolen.
Detectives say the occurrences started in September and believe a team of three is targeting large-scale homes between 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., smashing glass on patio doors while residents are not home.
“Investigators believe the thieves are surveilling properties before they strike; therefore, we encourage residents to keep their homes secure, look out for each other as neighbours and call police to report any suspicious activity or suspicious individuals,” Surrey RCMP spokesperson Tammy Lobb said.
