ABBOTSFORD — The Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation (FVHCF) has confirmed that just over $4,100 was raised during their Run for Hope campaign this month. The funds have been used to purchase a positioning chair for the Medical Imaging Department at Fraser Canyon Hospital.

The event, held on October 5, attracted more than 100 runners and walkers who participated in a 5-kilometer trek along the Coquihalla River and through Thacker Park.

FVHCF Executive Director Liz Harris said the chair was “much needed” for the department.

“The success of this event demonstrates just how powerful coming together can be,” Harris said. “With this new chair, we will be able to provide even greater comfort and precision during medical imaging procedures, which is a game-changer for patient care.”
