Abbotsford PD seeks 2 suspects in residential break and enter

ABBOTSFORD — Police in Abbotsford say they’re investigating a reported break and enter that happened early Tuesday morning at a home near Trestle Avenue and Lefeuvre Road in Abbotsford.

According to a statement from Constable Artur Stele, spokesperson for the Abbotsford Police Department, AbbyPD patrol officers were dispatched for the report of a residential break and enter Tuesday morning, Oct. 8 at 3:17 a.m. When officers arrived, they were told that the victims had discovered two unknown individuals inside their home. An undisclosed confrontation occurred, prompting the two suspects to flee the area.

The first suspect is described as a Caucasian male, 6 feet to 6’3″ tall, and a heavy build, while the second suspect is believed to be a Caucasian male with a skinny build.

The AbbyPD Major Crime Unit has taken conduct of the case and is in the preliminary stages of the investigation. Detectives believe the occupants of the home were not the intended targets.

Investigators are seeking dashcam or CCTV footage from anyone who was in the area between midnight and 3:30 a.m. Those who may have dashcam footage are asked to contact the Abbotsford Police Department at 604-859-5225 and reference AbbyPD file 24-42167.
