KAMLOOPS — With quarterback Tyran Duval back in the saddle, the Valley Huskers put on a remarkable show of offence over the weekend to win a crucial game on the road.

Duval completed 20 passes for 368 yards and four touchdowns, and running backs Jawad Harb and Grady Andrea each scored touchdowns, as the Huskers used a 28-point fourth quarter to capture its fourth victory of the year in a 53-36 win Sunday in Kamloops.

Kamloops (1-6) actually led by a point entering the fourth quarter before the Huskers recorded four scores to overcome the late-game deficit.

The Huskers (4-3) had 476 yards of total offence. Duval fielded every snap in the win, finding Colby Johnson for two touchdowns, Payton Lake and Steven Koniuck for TD receptions apiece.

“Good road win for us,” said Valley Huskers head coach Bob Reist. “I thought we responded well in the second half after getting out to a slow start. Playing four quarters is of major importance as we head into a tough stretch.”

The Valley Huskers host the Langley Rams (6-2) this Saturday, September 21 at 7 p.m. at Exhibition Stadium in Billet Appreciation Night.
