PGA pro Nick Taylor stops by Chilliwack Wednesday to raise funds for kids in sports
CHILLIWACK — PGA pro and Abbotsford native Nick Taylor hasn’t forgotten the Fraser Valley or the vast network of local connections he’s built.
Taylor, who rose to immediate fame with a dramatic win at the RBC Canadian Open in 2023 with a dramatic 72-foot birdie putt on the fourth playoff hole, stopped by District 1881 in downtown Chilliwack to kick off the campaign season to raise money for JumpStart, The First Tee and Chilliwack Community Services.
Taylor frequented the popular downtown commercial district to host some eager kids with a putting contest, prizes and some golf lessons. Taylor is collaborating with the Algra Bros. in an effort to raise much needed funds to help kids in the Fraser Valley have the ability to play the sports they love.
The 4th annual Nick Taylor Charity Pro-Am happens Thursday, September 5 at Cultus Lake Golf Club.
