Cultus Lake Park Board OK’s plan for Cultus Lake Golf Club to host micro weddings
CULTUS LAKE — One local venue in Cultus Lake hopes to create a cozy ambience for more intimate gatherings by making part of its facility available for smaller weddings.
The Cultus Lake Park Board has approved a plan that would see the storage building on the 13th hole of the Cultus Lake Golf Club undergo water and sewer connections for the purpose of accommodating micro weddings.
According to a recap from its meeting held Wednesday, March 20, the park board has asked staff to execute a covenant agreement to be registered on title for the Cultus Lake Golf Club to permit connection of water and sewer to the storage building on the golf course to facilitate micro weddings and other golf course operations, excluding short-term, long-term and any form of residential lodging.
At its regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, February 21, park board commissioners met in closed session to consider a request from the owner-operator of the Cultus Lake Golf Club that would permit water and sewer connections to the storage building on the 13th hole to host micro weddings, defined as “intentional, intimate ceremonies” that host 20-50 guests for approximately 3-4 hours.
