Benanna Bakery in Chilliwack to hold New Year’s celebration this Saturday with free treats, music and family fun

CHILLIWACK — Benanna Bakery at 8985 Young Road in Chilliwack will hold a free community event featuring delicious Dutch treats, festive music and family fun this coming weekend before 2024 arrives.

Benanna Bakery owners Travis and Rebecca Neels welcome the community to their New Year’s celebration this Saturday, Dec. 30 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Join them for free gingerbread decorating for the kids, samples, kids crafts and more.

The unlimited oliebollen experience is back by popular demand. Oliebollen can be described as Dutch pastries that are typically filled with raisins and topped with icing sugar. Oliebollen are available for a purchase of $10 per dozen if patrons are interested.

“We try to give back with our events through the free kids activities and stuff, and it’s always a lot of fun!” co-owner Travis Neels said.
