Chilliwack’s Kalyn Head the fastest female in Saturday’s Around the Lake Give ‘R Take 30 race
CULTUS LAKE — Buoyed by perfect conditions, Chilliwack’s Kalyn Head emerged as the fastest female in Saturday’s 20th running of the Around the Lake Give ‘R Take 30 kilometre trail race.
Head crossed the finish line in 2 hours, 55 minutes and 5 seconds amid ideal conditions that resulted in course records being set over the weekend as over 300 racers made their way around Cultus Lake.
Vancouver’s David Bandiera repeated as top finisher for the second consecutive year and set a new course record of 2 hrs, 26 minutes and 40 seconcs – over six minutes faster than the previous best time which had stood for six years.
