Man dies after crashing into stop sign on Tyson Road on Chilliwack, cardiac arrest possibly involved
CHILLIWACK — A man has died following a single-vehicle accident Monday morning at the corner of Tyson Road and Insley Avenue in Chilliwack.
According to a Chilliwack resident named Pam who lives at the corner of Tyson and Insley, an older man driving a truck crashed into her property.
Following the crash, nearby neighbours and others stopped to assist the man and began administering cardiopulmonary resuscitation to him, before responding paramedics with B.C. Emergency Health Services continued with CPR a short while later.
The man had to be extricated from his vehicle. First responders broke the driver side window in order to remove him from his vehicle, Pam said.
