Town Butcher in Chilliwack to mark 15th anniversary Saturday with block party BBQ

CHILLIWACK — Town Butcher, a go-to butcher in Chilliwack for locally raised and sourced meats that are grass-fed and all cut on location, will celebrate its 15th anniversary this Saturday, June 24 with a block party fundraiser BBQ.

Bill Turnbull and his friendly staff invite you to stop by their store at the corner of Vedder Road and Keith Wilson Road, close to Starbucks, to check out the full list of festivities happening between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. this Saturday.

The festivities include a silent auction where attendees can bid on items at a table, live music from well-known Chilliwack entertainer Trevor McDonald, food (by donation) consisting of BBQ items, dessert and beverages, an appearance from James Bedard, the 2021 Canadian carting champion, local vendors (Decades Bakery, Natasha’s Pies and Starbucks) and a prize draw every hour.

All proceeds will help James Bedard with his cart racing as he represents Chilliwack in his upcoming races.

The store boasts a delicatessen stocked with a variety of fresh, high-quality, seasonal products cooked on-site to complement or complete a full meal. Their full line of meats features beef, pork, chicken, lamb and turkey that are all raised within 50 kilometres or closer to its shop, all without the use of antibiotics.

Town Butcher is located at 301-5580 Vedder Road. It is open seven days a week, including 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
