Lions grind out 33-26 win over Roughriders in CFL’s West Division semifinal
VANCOUVER — Heads hung in the B.C. Lions’ locker room at halftime on Saturday.
With their season on the line, the team was behind 17-13 and in need of a comeback against the defending Grey Cup champion Saskatchewan Roughriders.
Luckily for the Lions, adversity is nothing new.
“I think with what we’ve been through this year, I think this isn’t uncharted territory for us,” said quarterback Nathan Rourke. “We know that when things aren’t going our way, that we’re capable of climbing out the hole, right?”
