57-year-old man busted for going nearly 3x the speed limit in Abbotsford school zone during school day

ABBOTSFORD – Police in Abbotsford say a 57-year-old man has been ticketed and had his vehicle impounded after he was caught driving nearly three times the speed limit in an Abbotsford school zone while school was happening.

According to a statement from police, an AbbyPD traffic officer was conducting speed enforcement in the 33000 block of King Road last Thursday, October 15, while school was in session.

Police say a white SUV was observed travelling 80km/hr in a posted 30km/hr zone.

The 57-year-old driver was pulled over and issued a ticket for excessive speed.
