FHA says the service interruptions will begin at 5:00 p.m. to ensure all patients already in the emergency department can be seen by a physician before they end their shift at 11 p.m.

The ER will reopen each morning at 8 a.m. following each overnight interruption.

For real-time updates on temporary service interruption dates and times, please visit fraserhealth.ca/mmhed. This page will be updated in instances when physician coverage is secured, and a service interruption is no longer needed.

During the service interruptions, Fraser Health says emergency-trained nurses will continue to be on site and available to support walk-in patients needing basic care, assist with re-direction of care, and/or transfer patients with urgent needs to a neighbouring hospital.
