Mission Folk Fest back for 39th year in local park
MISSION — Residents are invited to jam out to live music at a much-loved local summer tradition at Fraser River Heritage Park.
In just under two weeks, the annual Folk Music Festival kicks off for its 39th year with three evening Main Stage music showcases, as well as an array of 30 collaborative workshop performances and sessions.
The roster of more than 25 acts is set to perform a range of genres, from traditional to contemporary, featuring headliners like Brianna Lizotte, three-time JUNO Award-winning Alpha Yaya Diallo and the fan-favourite Festival Choir.
“The Mission Folk Music Festival not only presents great music, it offers a weekend of discovery that can only be experienced live,” wrote organizers.
