Police seeking suspect who exposed, touched self in public in Burnaby park

BURNABY — RCMP in Burnaby are ramping up their presence at a local park after a suspect was reported for indecent acts in public over the past week.

Police say on July 5, 6 and 9, at varying times of day, a man had exposed himself and masturbated in public at different areas of Central Park.

“These types of incidents are extremely concerning for police and the public. We want to ensure that people are informed, so they remain vigilant and take appropriate precautions, including staying aware of their surroundings,” said Burnaby RCMP Media Relations Officer Michael Kalanj. 

“We also want to strongly encourage people to contact police immediately to report any similar incidents or suspicious behaviour.”
