Mission fire crews struggle for a bit to locate brush fire due to Boston Bar fire

MISSION – Smoke from the raging wildfire in the Fraser Canyon made it difficult for firefighters in Mission to initially locate a brush fire Sunday night.

Mission Fire Rescue Service says fire crews were dispatched for a small brush fire at the end of Parr Street Sunday night.

The fire agency says access was challenging, but crews were able to eventually gain access and extinguish the blaze.

Mission Fire Rescue Service Fire Chief Mark Goddard said, “Smoke everywhere from the Boston Bar fire made it initially hard to find.”
