Air quality warning issued for Fraser Canyon amid out-of-control wildfire near Boston Bar

FRASER CANYON — Residents in the Fraser Canyon are urged to stay in well-ventilated spaces as smoke from the growing North Bend wildfire spreads across the area.
Environment Canada has issued a yellow air quality warning for the region, including Lytton.
The weather agency asks residents to reduce smoke exposure by:
- Postponing or reducing strenuous outdoor activities
- Keeping windows and doors closed at home and in vehicles
- Using an air filter
- Going to air-conditioned community centres, libraries or malls
- Wearing a well-fitting respirator mask, such as a NIOSH-certified N95 or equivalent respirator
