Teen badly hurt in latest in a series of electric dirt bike, scooter crashes in B.C.
BURNABY — A teenage boy has been seriously injured in a crash in Metro Vancouver involving an electric dirt bike, in the second such collision in two days.
Police in Burnaby, B.C., say the latest crash happened between the e-bike and a vehicle on Tuesday afternoon on the Barnet Highway near Cariboo Road North.
The rider, a 15-year-old boy, was taken to hospital with serious injuries, while the driver of the other vehicle remained at the scene.
The crash comes a day after a 13-year-old was also badly injured in Maple Ridge when an Audi pulling into traffic collided with the teenager riding an e-scooter.
