ABBOTSFORD — With a seven-day vehicle impoundment on his record, a local man may only be driving golf clubs for a week after driving more than double the speed limit through Abbotsford roads recently.
AbbyPD officers clocked the driver moving at 112 km/h in a 50 km/h zone near King Road and Lefeuvre Road.
After pulling him over, police say the driver was “apologetic” but that he also told the officer he was “late for his ‘tee time’”.
The 55-year-old then had to take his golf clubs and call a ride-share as a result of his car being seized.
