MISSION – A brewery in Mission has announced it will close its doors after four “unforgettable” years.

After four years of what it calls “building, dreaming, hustling, adapting and giving this everything” they had, HUBCo Brewing, located on North Railway Avenue in downtown Mission, will serve its last round of drinks in early July.

The brewery made the announcement Wednesday night, saying it came to the heart-breaking conclusion it could no longer sustain operations.

“This isn’t the ending we hoped for, and we’re still struggling to find the right words. But what remains is gratitude. So much gratitude,” it said. “We’re incredibly proud of what we built here. Not because of the beer, the events, or the building itself, but mostly because of the connections & community spirit that has grown within these walls. This old building had held so many stories, and we’ve been lucky enough to witness some of them.”

It thanked its loyal staff for enduring all kinds of challenges and sticking it out with the brewery.

“To our staff – past and present – thank you. There are no words big enough,” HubCo Brewing said. “You showed up through steady summers, busy winters, staffing shortages, and every challenge in between. Some of you even came back after moving, just to lend a hand for the weekend. The heart of this place has always been the people behind it, and we are endlessly grateful for everyone of you.”

At the same time, the company said it cherished being a part of people’s lives and watching people celebrate life’s milestones at the brewery.

“We’ve watched regulars bring in newborns and then watched those same kids grow year after year,” the brewery wrote online. “We’ve seen first dates turn into relationships, relationships turn into marriages, and milestones celebrated over pints shared across tables. We’ve hosted fundraisers for people facing unimaginable challenges and witnessed this community show up, again and again, with generosity and compassion.”

Its final day of business will be Saturday, July 4.

“We hope you’ll join us over these final weeks to share a drink, tell some stories, laugh a little, cry a little, and celebrate the community that made all of this possible. Thank you for giving us four unforgettable years.”
