1 dead in car crash along 48 Ave in Langley Sunday morning

LANGLEY — Police are now investigating a fatal car crash that took place in a Langley neighbourhood early Sunday morning (May 24).

RCMP say officers were paged out to the 20200 block of 48 Avenue for a single-vehicle collision at around 1:57 a.m.

Firefighters and two BC Ambulance Services also attended the scene.

“Sadly, despite the rapid response and efforts of first responders, one individual was pronounced deceased at the scene,” said Sergeant Zynal Sharoom of the Langley RCMP. 

“The circumstances surrounding the collision are still being examined, and investigators are working to determine the factors involved.”

A section of the road near Grade Crescent was closed off this morning as police worked.

The Lower Mainland Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) is now supporting the investigation.
