1 in serious condition after pedestrian collision in Mission

MISSION — One person is in serious condition after another pedestrian strike in the region late Friday night (May 15).

First responders were paged out to Lougheed Highway and Haig Street in Mission at around 11:04 p.m. that evening.

BCEHS says an ambulance with advanced care paramedics and three ambulances with primary care paramedics responded to the call.

Crews gave emergency medical treatment to one patient, who was then taken to hospital in serious condition.

Images from the scene show a black Jeep Compass being towed away, with part of the road closed while the RCMP and the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) investigated the scene.
