Abbotsford Police announce charges in 2025 fatal pedestrian crash
ABBOTSFORD — A driver has now been charged in connection with a fatal pedestrian crash along Harris Road in Abbotsford in early 2025.
In a news release, the Abbotsford Police Department says investigators from its Major Crime Unit, have led an investigation over the last year that led to the charge approval stage.
29-year-old Prabhjit Brar was formally charged with impaired operation causing death, driving over 80 (blood/alcohol) causing death and dangerous operation causing death on May 8.
Police say incidents such as this have lasting impacts on families, friends and the wider community, and serve as a reminder of the consequences of impaired and dangerous driving.
