Drivers headed to the B.C. Interior warned of snow risk
May 15, 2026 | 6:27 AM
HOPE — Highway travellers headed to the B.C. Interior this long weekend, are being warned to be prepared for the possibility of snow on high mountain roads.
Environment Canada says falling freezing levels could lead to the accumulation of snow through highway summits and passes.
It’s directing its weather advisory to motorists headed through the Allison Pass, the Pennask and Coquihalla Summits through this long weekend.
The advisory says the risk of snow will continue through Sunday morning as an upper-level low sweeps across the B.C. Interior.
