HOPE — HIghway 1 remains closed from Hope to Boston Bar Tuesday morning (Dec. 27) due to the risk of an avalanche hazard, the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure says.
According to a posting on Drive B.C.’s Twitter page, Highway 1 is closed in both directions between Hope and Boston Bar because of an avalanche hazard between Haig Station Road and Boston Bar Station Road for 63.3 kilometres (Hope to 26 km south of Jackass Mountain Summit).
The next highway update is expected around 10 a.m. this morning.
