3 Harrison-area wildfires remain out of control Wednesday morning
HARRISON HOT SPRINGS – A wildfire that broke out near Harrison Hot Springs on Tuesday remains out of control as of Wednesday morning, but fire officials say it poses no threat to public safety at this time.
According to an update from the BC Wildfire Service, the 0.1-hectare wildfire was discovered Tuesday evening on the north side of the Harrison River, one kilometer north of Pirates Point, and considered highly visible from Harrison Hot Springs and nearby communities.
The initial response consisted of crews and officers with support from helicopters.
Crews remain on site today.
