56-year-old Chilliwack man arrested after assault, thefts in Hope
HOPE — A man has been taken to custody after a disturbance in the area of a local Save-on-Foods in Hope Thursday afternoon (April 9).
At 1:28 p.m., Hope RCMP responded to a hold-up alarm at the business on 559 Old Hope Princeton Way.
The suspect reportedly went into the store and started yelling, screaming and throwing items.
He assaulted a staff member during the encounter and showed a knife when confronted, before taking some food items and running away from the store.
