ABBOTSFORD — The RCMP’s BC Highway Patrol is reminding drivers that speeding and failing to follow the rules of the road can quickly get expensive.

Mounties say they pulled over a driver along Highway 1 in Abbotsford recently, doing well over the speed limit.

The driver was caught doing 191 km/h, 91 km/h over the speed limit. Once police pulled over the driver, they discovered the person behind the wheel didn’t have their driver’s licence with them. That resulted in another ticket. The driver also received a ticket for a cracked windshield and one more for failing to display their N on the car.

In all, the driver was assessed $792 in tickets and had their vehicle impounded for 7 days.
