UPDATE: Rainy weather leads to first road closure in Abbotsford
UPDATE at 4:30 p.m.— Clayburn Road has now been closed by the City of Abbotsford.
ABBOTSFORD — The continuous rain over the past few days has led to the closure of one road in Abbotsford.
The City of Abbotsford closed Gladwin Road between King Road and Huntingdon Road because of localized flooding. The closure impacts all through traffic.
City officials are reminding motorists to avoid driving through flooded roads, which can conceal traffic hazards such as potholes or even washouts. It warns drivers that other road closures could be made in the future with the atmospheric river expected to deliver rain to the area through Friday.
