Chiefs Acquire Defenceman Edvin Nilsson from Vernon
Chilliwack, B.C. – The Chilliwack Chiefs have acquired defenceman Edvin Nilsson from the Vernon Vipers in exchange for forward Connor Dick and future considerations.
Chiefs Head Coach and General Manager Brian Maloney explained the decision as a necessary step in strengthening the team’s blue line.
“To get good players, you have to be willing to give up good players,” said Maloney. “We’re focused on strengthening our defence. I’ve been around long enough to know that to win championships, you need a blue line that can defend hard and move pucks efficiently. Our group has shown we can score goals, and this move helps balance our lineup.”
Moving on from Connor Dick was a difficult decision for the organization.
