Hope Cinema and Performance House celebrates grand reopening
HOPE — Hope’s historic theatre is set to host its grand opening under a new name this afternoon (Jan. 17) – only a month after its 80th anniversary.
Today, at 3 p.m., the newly named Almsgiving Hope Cinema and Performance House is officially opening its curtains with a double feature of Florence Foster Jenkins and American Graffiti.
Ali Marsman, the new leaseholder, initially planned to reopen the theatre on December 19 but faced several delays due to weather events that month.
She hosted a soft launch in early January, where guests were invited to learn more about the theatre’s upcoming programs over concession treats.
