CP NewsAlert: Maple Ridge councillor charged with four counts of sexual assault
VICTORIA — A councillor in Maple Ridge has been charged with four counts of sexual assault involving at least two people.
The BC Prosecution Service says Ahmed Antar Yousef Mohamed was charged on the recommendation of a special prosecutor appointed last year, whose recommendations had previously seen him charged with assault, pointing a firearm and other offences.
The Upper Fraser Valley Regional Detachment of the RCMP conducted the investigation into allegations against Mohamed.
Yousef’s first court appearance on these matters is Friday, February 12, 2026 in Port Coquitlam provincial court.
