Annual Chilliwack Mural Festival opens for artist submissions

CHILLIWACK — Organizers are gearing up for another colourful weekend at this year’s Chilliwack Mural Festival.

Applications are now open to mural artists and musicians interested in participating in the annual celebration of large-scale public art, live music and programming in the city’s downtown core.

“We’re thrilled to open applications for the 2026 Chilliwack Mural Festival and to see interest from artists and musicians working at every scale,” said Lise Oakley, executive director of the Chilliwack Arts Council.

“As the festival continues to grow in both reach and ambition, we look forward to receiving applications from artists within the Fraser Valley, across the country, and internationally.”

Deadlines for local, national and international mural artists are on January 27, at 11:59 p.m. PST.

Musicians with strong songwriting and technical skills who wish to perform original music on the festival stage are asked to submit their applications by January 31.

The Festival is set to take place from August 14 to August 16.
