CHILLIWACK — Chilliwack-area residents dreaming of a white Christmas might be in for a little disappointment.

Environment Canada is forecasting a week full of mostly rain and lots of it starting Monday morning (Dec. 22). Anywhere between 5-10 mms of rain is forecast to fall during the day Monday before more rain arrives in the evening, producing 10-15 mms of precipitation.

Tuesday and Wednesday have periods of rain in the forecast. The only chance of a few flurries, according to Environment Canada, is Thursday night. The national weather agency predicts there’s a 60 per cent chance of flurries on Christmas evening as lows dip to zero.

The forecast is calling for a chance of flurries Friday morning as highs will only reach about 4 degrees. Periods of rain return Friday night as lows approach 2 degrees.
