ABBOTSFORD – As of 9:08 p.m., Global BC now projects that Bruce Banman has won his Abbotsford South riding with approximately 63 per cent of the vote, or nearly double that of his NDP opponent Leah Ballantyne.
Global BC has also projected, as of 9:28 p.m., that political newcomer Darryl Kropp has won his Abbotsford-Missing riding against well-known candidate Pam Alexis of the NDP. With 56/81 polls reporting, Kropp had 56.3 per cent of the vote to Alexis’ per cent.
Kropp replaced Reann Gasper, who had resigned so that former Conservative Party leader Kerry-Lynne Findlay could run. The Conservative Party went in a different direction and selected Kropp as their candidate.
