FVRL unveils makeshift Chilliwack library while downtown branch closes for 5 weeks

CHILLIWACK – The Fraser Valley Regional Library has unveiled a makeshift library while the downtown Chilliwack branch undergoes renovations for a five-week closure.

In a social media post, the FVRL says its pop-up library is up and running at Evergreen Hall due to the downtown library being closed from August 10 through to September 15.

“After getting everything into the space, we realized that we don’t quite have enough room for a browsing collection right now,” FVRL said.

For the duration of the pop-up library between now and September 15, FVRL will offer express holds so that patrons can pick up their reserved materials; drop-offs where people can return their library materials; and retrieve Summer Reading Club materials.
