Canada’s women’s and men’s teams pick up wins at sitting volleyball worlds

HANGZHOU — Canada’s women improved to 2-0 while the men picked up their first win Sunday at the 2026 Sitting Volleyball World Championships.

The women swept Slovenia 3-0 with set scores of 25-21, 25-15, and 29-27.

Julia Chisholm and Kerrie Buchberger each had a game-high 14 points, while Allison Lang added 13 for the Canadians, who will next face Japan.

The men improved to 1-1 with a 3-2 victory over Thailand. Set scores were 24-26, 25-18, 25-17, 23-25, and 16-14.
