Update: Highway 1 w/b through Abbotsford now clear

UPDATE, 8:45 A.M. TUESDAY: Highway 1 westbound is now clear through Abbotsford, DriveBC says.

ABBOTSFORD – One lane of westbound Highway 1 is blocked Tuesday morning due to a motor vehicle incident.

DriveBC and Emil Anderson Maintenance, the highway service contractor, are both reporting that a vehicle recovery westbound at Whatcom Road (Exit 95) has the left lane blocked.

A vehicle is currently in the grassy median.

There might be more than one vehicle involved. A motorist commented in the Fraser Valley Road Report Facebook group that there appears to be two vehicles involved, with one vehicle on the road and another in the grassy median.
