Firefighters battle wildfire in the Fraser Canyon near Boston Bar, North Bend

BOSTON BAR/NORTH BEND – The Fraser Valley Regional District says firefighters from Boston Bar and Yale worked midday Saturday alongside provincial fire crews to battle a wildfire near Green Ranch Road and the Fraser River in the Boston Bar/North Bend area in Electoral Area A.

According to a statement from the FVRD, the current status of the wildfire is under control.

FVRD says the cause of the wildfire remains under investigation. It did not reveal the size of the fire.

“There is no threat to structures, critical infrastructure or public safety. There are no evacuation orders or alerts in place. The FVRD Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) is not activated,” FVRD said.
