Vedder Park playgrounds, pump track temporarily closed for upgrades

CHILLIWACK — The City of Chilliwack has now closed down parts of Vedder Park as work continues to improve the area for visitors.

Both playgrounds and the pump track have been closed for safety reasons, according to a post by the City on Friday.

Upgrades to the park range from new concrete curbs and asphalt pathway paving to irrigation and turf improvements.

“The new park design builds off the success of the existing amenities with a renovated dog off-leash area, upgraded pedestrian circulation system to allow for improved accessibility, expanded parking lot and a permanent washroom facility,” said the City.
