Sardis high school principal honoured at BC School Sports Awards
CHILLIWACK — A local high school principal has recently been recognized for her continued leadership and dedication to student sports at this year’s BC School Sports Awards.
Sardis Secondary School principal Lynnet Schramm, whose lifelong connection to school sports began as a student-athlete at Chilliwack Secondary, received an award for her strong advocacy for equitable access to resources and opportunities.
“Students are successful when they feel connected to the school,” said Schramm. “The hardest job we have is getting them in the doors. When students are passionate about being here because of the extra-curricular things they’re involved in, they’re going to attend. If they can attend, they’re going to be successful.”
Schramm was awarded the Citation of Excellence for administrators on May 8 at the Hilton Whistler Resort & Spa.
