Langley man taken to hospital after ‘targeted’ shooting: RCMP

LANGLEY — A 27-year-old man is now in hospital after allegedly being shot in Langley Saturday afternoon (May 16).

Police say they responded to an assault incident in the 5400 block of Brydon Crescent at roughly 12:32 p.m.

Frontline officers then found the victim and evidence consistent with a shooting, and the man was taken to a local area hospital for examination.

“The investigation is still in its early stages and Police are working to determine the possible motive for the shooting,” said Sergeant Zynal Sharoom of the Langley RCMP. “At this time, the incident appears to be targeted, and there is no ongoing risk to the public.”
