Section of Highway 1 closes after motorcycle incident in Langley Saturday

LANGLEY — Crews have now blocked off a section of Highway 1 after a serious motor vehicle incident in Langley Saturday afternoon (April 11).

Three BC Emergency Health Services ambulances were dispatched to the area of Highway 1 heading westbound, just after 264th Street, starting at around 1:44 p.m.

Drivers nearby reported that a motorcycle was involved.

BCEHS told Fraser Valley Today that one patient was taken to hospital in serious condition.

At around 2:45 p.m., police began closing down and rerouting eastbound traffic west of 256th Street while crews assessed the incident.

DriveBC confirmed that the closure stretches for 1.9 kilometres between 248th Street and Exit 73.
