Police stop N driver from Surrey clocked going nearly triple the speed limit in Abbotsford

ABBOTSFORD — The Abbotsford Police Department stopped a novice driver in his attempt at racetracks on local roads last night.

On Friday night, April 10, an AbbyPD patrol officer spotted the white BMW sedan travelling 144 km/h in a posted 50 km/h zone along Marshall Road near Queen Street.

“An Abbotsford Police patrol officer spotted the excessive speed and conducted a traffic stop, quickly bringing the unofficial race to an end,” said AbbyPD.

The N driver, who was visiting from Surrey, received an excessive speeding ticket.
