Pick-up truck smashes into concrete apartment sign after collision in Abbotsford Friday night

ABBOTSFORD — First responders were on the scene of a collision involving a pick-up truck and an SUV Friday night, April 10.

Scanner traffic said crews were dispatched to the scene at 3150 Gladwin Road at around 10:30 p.m.

AbbyPD told Fraser Valley Today that a grey Nissan Murano had been struck in the rear 1/4 panel by a grey Ford F-150 that was turning left.

The truck then crashed into the concrete sign for the Regency Park towers.

One person was taken to hospital with minor injuries as a precaution, and the other driver suffered a black eye due to airbag deployment.

Speed and alcohol were not factors in this collision.

Residents reported hearing a “huge crash” when the incident occurred.

Two ambulances responded to the scene, along with the fire department and at least two police vehicles.

Emergency crews started clearing the scene by 12:15 a.m. Saturday, April 11.
