FVRD to reduce water reservoir levels at Chilliwack River Valley area due to ‘irregularities’

CHILLIWACK — Residents living near Thompson Regional Park may notice slightly less water at home as crews work on the reservoir that serves their area.

The Fraser Valley Regional District (FVRD) is looking to reduce levels at the Bell Acres reservoir in Electoral Area E, or the Chilliwack River Valley, over the next several days.

“Through a field inspection, FVRD staff noticed irregularities at the reservoir site and are taking every reasonable step to mitigate any potential risks,” said the FVRD.

The District adds that residents may notice a slight drop in water pressure and some cloudiness coming from their taps, but these conditions will not affect water quality.
