Chilliwack organization receives over $942K from Elements Casino
CHILLIWACK — A local group is turning spins into community wins after receiving its annual payment from Elements Casino in Chilliwack.
The Knight Road Legacy Association (KRLA) entered into a 20-year revenue-sharing agreement with the casino in 2012, dedicating a share of the casino’s slot machine revenue to the organization.
This year, KRLA received a total of $942,182 and is set to support 47 charities and non-profits in the community.
“We have had a fantastic relationship with [Elements Casino Chilliwack] since the opening of the property in 2012,” said R. Jerry Wernicke, president of the KRLA. “Our members look forward to receiving their share of this revenue so they can continue undertaking the great work they do to support Chilliwack and Fraser Valley residents.”
